Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Workday Financial Functional Consultant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather business requirements and analyze existing financial processes.
  • Configure and support the Workday Financials module, ensuring it meets the unique needs of each client and industry best practices.
  • Provide functional expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to testing and deployment.
  • Analyze and design business processes to align with Workday functionality, ensuring efficient workflows and addressing any process gaps or improvements.
  • Develop test plans and perform functional testing to ensure configurations meet business requirements. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address any issues that arise during testing phases.
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions for clients and end-users to enhance their understanding of the Workday system. Provide ongoing support post-implementation, addressing user queries and system issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, business processes, and training materials.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workday Financial Management, working closely with technical teams as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and assuring them of a voice in the project. Facilitate regular communication and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about Workday updates, new features, and industry trends. Provide recommendations to clients on best practices and potential enhancements to optimize their use of Workday.
  • Assist clients with change management practices, helping them navigate organizational change resulting from the implementation of new processes and tools.
  • Occasionally contribute to project management activities, such as developing project plans, tracking progress, and managing deliverables to ensure timelines are met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Workday Financial Consultant, specifically in the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Expense Management.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Workday implementations and project management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus.
