Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager

BAE Systems USA is seeking a highly skilled Manager I of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of SHE programs across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SHE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide leadership and guidance to SHE personnel, including training and development programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SHE into business operations and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in SH&E, engineering, or other natural science/technical discipline and eight years of experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management, particularly in Chemical Management, Business Continuity Management, and SHE Management Systems.
- Experience in operations/program management and people management/leadership.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and personnel.
- Ability to support process improvement and change management.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist designation.
- Experience in a geographically-dispersed, multi-site environment.
