Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Long Island Community Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing post-award financial administration of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage post-award financial administration of grants and contracts, including accounts for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenditures.
  • Process payroll reallocations and prepare journal entries, cash receipts, and cash disbursement entries.
  • Develop and maintain budgets on assigned accounts, extracting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to communicate effectively to stakeholders.
  • Prepare federal financial status reports annually and monthly and quarterly government billings on assigned accounts.
  • Monitor time and effort reporting, legislation, regulations, and developments related to federal, state, and local grants, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of financial or grant-related experience.
  • High level of computer literacy with spreadsheets, database software, and/or business systems.
  • Problem-solving and resolution skills, team-oriented, and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
