We are seeking a highly skilled Underground Construction Technician to join our team in Columbia, MO. As an Underground Construction Technician, you will play a critical role in our rural expansion initiative, installing, maintaining, and repairing cables, equipment, and infrastructure to connect communities to our advanced network.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain underground cables and equipment
- Perform construction projects to support the performance of our fiber optic network
- Work in a team environment to complete projects on time and to a high standard
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including street cutting and drilling, trenching, and excavating
- Travel regularly to new locations to complete key projects
- 2-4 years of experience in OSP underground construction/maintenance
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of outside plant construction standards
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, initiative, communication, adaptability, and consistency
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
