Payroll Specialist

A Dynamic construction company located south of Littleton has an immediate opening for a sharp Payroll Specialist to join their team

The Payroll Specialist will work with HR and report to the CFO and get exposure to a variety of tasks and opportunity for growth

Duties of the Payroll Specialist:

  • process multi-state payroll for up to 300 employees
  • manage garnishments and other deductions
  • review and file payroll taxes, set up new tax jurisdictions as needed
  • work with HR for open enrollment, employee onboarding and other election changes
  • assist with month end reconciliations and journal entries


Preferred background of the Payroll & Accounting Specialist:

  • 2 +years of payroll processing required
  • Must be familiar with davis bacon rules
  • Take initiative and own the payroll process
  • likes doing a variety of tasks with varying levels of volume
  • Ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a defined time period.
  • Exceptional Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables,
