Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Technician at Terrica Corporation is responsible for establishing and maintaining inspection and testing records that align with customer quality standards. This role involves a thorough understanding of specific quality practices tailored to meet diverse customer expectations. The technician will also contribute to the development of quality control documentation to ensure that quality benchmarks are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze customer quality specifications and develop tailored quality control action plans.
  2. Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to both customer and internal quality standards. This includes conducting inspections at various stages, such as incoming, in-process, and final product evaluations, utilizing non-destructive testing methods as necessary.
  3. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and quality passports as required.
  4. Support quality control training initiatives.
  5. Oversee the organization, storage, and upkeep of various documentation and records.
  6. Assist in the evaluation of vendors and suppliers.
  7. Facilitate communication regarding quality issues with suppliers and technical teams.
  8. Contribute to the formulation of company procedures and operational instructions.
  9. Help manage the calibration system for tools.
  10. Coordinate training and maintenance of the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) system.
  11. Adhere to safe work practices at all times.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some post-secondary education or vocational training related to manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Specific Skills:

  • Ability to manage confidential information with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective stress and time management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Presentation capabilities.
