Position Summary
As a Facility Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating essential water and wastewater systems. This position involves hands-on work at various facilities, ensuring that our services meet regulatory standards and community needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate equipment at water production and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Manage distribution systems, including mains, valves, hydrants, and service lines.
  • Conduct routine water quality analyses to ensure compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on service piping and related equipment.
  • Adjust chemical treatments to maintain water quality, calculating necessary ratios and dosages.
  • Document activities and complete customer service work orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in all tasks.
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Skills and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with database and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Mathematical skills for performing calculations related to water treatment processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of wastewater pollution prevention.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
