About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist to join our team at My Florida Corp Defunct. As a GIS Specialist, you will play a critical role in planning, deploying, and supporting our enterprise GIS platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support external spatial data resources on which our operations rely
  • Research, acquire, and quality-assess the most recent spatial data and metadata
  • Use GIS spatial data management and analysis tools to transform spatial data from external sources
  • Direct metadata and administrative documentation for our operational spatial data
  • Coordinate with our IT sections to ensure the enterprise GIS platform is fully supported, tuned, and optimized for our operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field
  • Four years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming
  • Proficiency with the Esri ArcGIS platform at the enterprise level
  • Proficiency with HTML5/JavaScript, Windows-based web server security, and REST, XML, JSON, GeoJSON, or other communication protocols
  • Knowledge of publishing, optimizing, and managing a variety of GIS web services, enterprise SDE geodatabases, and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field
  • Five years of experience in GIS consulting or a related field
  • Experience with GIS spatial data management and analysis tools
