POSITION OVERVIEW

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is currently in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our Clinical Services team. ROLE DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support to various Clinical Services departments, including Dental, Medical, Pharmacy, Psychiatry, and Social Services. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Coordinating schedules for multiple staff members and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitoring and managing overtime hours, including voluntary and mandatory overtime.
  • Compiling and generating reports, as well as transcribing clinical and non-clinical data into official documents.
  • Drafting letters, filing notes, and preparing memorandums, reports, and policies as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, ensuring smooth operations within the team.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time position with work hours from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Flexibility in hours may be required to meet operational needs.
  • No overtime, shift work, or travel is necessary.
  • Free parking is available.
  • Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain cases.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience and Training:

  • One year of experience as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
  • One year of experience in a moderately complex clerical role; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • Must meet residency requirements.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is required.

Legal Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background investigation is mandatory.
  • A conditional offer of employment will necessitate a medical examination.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act, requiring satisfactory criminal history reports.
