About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our Alexa Audio team. As a Senior TPM, you will play a key role in shaping the technical, product, and execution vision for one of Amazon's fastest-growing businesses.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Working across a diverse set of stakeholder organizations to prioritize and manage large development projects
  • Partnering with external companies to bring Alexa to their devices
  • Connecting the dots across many sub-teams to ensure consistent execution
  • Tracking and reporting data, and managing organizational mechanisms, to help stakeholders understand the business
  • Reporting on team status across several executive communication channels

A Day in the Life

You will be a technical lead on our cross-functional projects, ensuring quality of architecture and design of systems. You will functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions, aligning project deliverables with target Quality and functionality and on time release. You will exert technical influence on the core platform teams, external dev teams, and partners, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your knowledge and experience.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of technical product or program management experience

7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

3+ years of software development experience

5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules

Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
