Graduate Intern for Student Engagement

The Graduate Intern for Student Engagement plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant community through the organization of events and initiatives tailored for students at Crown College.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Coordinator of Student Engagement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory duties are assigned.
Work Environment:
The intern will operate from an office setting and reside on campus in a designated living space.
Necessary equipment includes a personal computer, various office machines, and other tools essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Actively support the objectives of Student Development.
2. Collaborate with the Student Activities Board (SAB) to design, promote, and recruit for engaging student events.
3. Organize and manage volunteers for campus activities as required.
4. Utilize multiple channels to advertise events effectively.
5. Oversee the social media presence for Crown College Student Life.
6. Assist in the planning and execution of Welcome Week activities.
7. Participate in cohort meetings, self-care initiatives, leadership training, and other relevant gatherings.
8. Serve as a resource for Student Development staff regarding campus events and programming.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates should demonstrate leadership qualities, effective communication skills, conflict resolution capabilities, and strong organizational skills.
Additionally, candidates must align with the Crown College Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to engage with students actively.
2. Capacity to lift and transport items weighing at least 25 pounds.
3. Ability to sit and provide mentorship for extended periods.
4. Must be physically capable of driving college vehicles.
5. Willingness to maintain flexible hours, including late-night responsibilities.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Enrollment in a graduate program at Crown College is mandatory (Graduate Interns must maintain a minimum of 3 credits per fall and spring term).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in student leadership roles within a Christian college or university setting is advantageous. Familiarity with related fields or departments is also preferred.
