Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join our growing International Tax practice. This role is focused on our corporate/business International tax team and involves advising clients on a full spectrum of international tax services, including planning, research, compliance, foreign tax credit, international provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, outbound and inbound structure planning, and cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on international tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and foreign tax credit.
- Lead multiple international tax engagements, ensuring the delivery of quality tax planning and consulting projects for our diverse clients.
- Build on technical competence by keeping up-to-date on trends, developments, and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations.
- Collaborate and build relationships with Baker Tilly member firms around the world.
- Provide international tax technical guidance to tax professionals firm-wide.
- Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients.
- Invest in professional development individually and through participation in firm-wide learning and development programs.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA, MST, or JD/LLM is required.
- Five (5) + years of experience or some degree of exposure to international tax provisions, cross-border issues, and U.S. compliance for international tax payers is required.
- Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring, and counseling associates is desired.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects is required.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is highly preferred.
Baker Tilly offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $97,420 to $211,090, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
