Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our Facilities Security Service Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report cleanliness issues to the supervisor, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in OSHA and safety training to stay up-to-date on the latest protocols and procedures.
  • Notify supervisor of supply needs to ensure seamless operations.
  • Train and orient new staff on proper cleaning procedures, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance to equipment and facilities as needed.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as window cleaning, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Department to achieve our facility's mission statement.
  • Participate in regular training and coaching sessions with the supervisor or Department Director.
  • Stay informed about the GLFHC Improvement plan and contribute to ongoing quality improvement activities.
  • Assist with major cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to four years of facility cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Fluent in English
