About the Role

The Greater Lawrence Family Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Security Service Department, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report cleanliness issues to your supervisor, ensuring that all areas of the facility meet our high standards.
  • Participate in regular safety training and updates, staying up-to-date on the latest protocols and procedures.
  • Notify your supervisor of any equipment or supply needs, ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and equipped to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Train and orient new staff on proper cleaning procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance as needed, ensuring that our facilities are safe and functional.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as window cleaning, snow removal, and grounds maintenance, contributing to the overall upkeep of our facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Department to achieve our facility's mission statement, working together to provide exceptional patient care and a safe environment.
  • Meet regularly with your supervisor for training, counseling, and coaching, ensuring that you have the support and resources needed to succeed in your role.
  • Stay informed about our organization's improvement plan and participate in ongoing quality improvement activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
  • Assist with major cleaning projects as needed, working collaboratively with your team to achieve our goals.
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and commitment to our team's success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to four years of experience in facility cleaning, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Fluent in English
