Lead Custodian Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Custodian to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cleaning and maintenance services to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the work of and train Custodian I workers
  • Gather and empty trash and linen
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
  • Use floor care equipment to strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
  • Transport and handle trash, recycling, medical waste, linen, and other items to designated areas
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
  • Mix cleaning solutions and change bed linens
Requirements:
  • No High School Diploma and/or No GED Required
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, safety hazards, and necessary safety precautions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work within Health Department standards
  • Command of English strongly preferred
