Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Imaging Assistant to join our team at Reston Hospital Center. As an Imaging Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients, families, and other stakeholders as needed, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Transport patients to and from imaging modalities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Prepare and screen patients for imaging exams, verifying their identity and medical history.
  • Facilitate communication between the imaging services department and other hospital departments, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
  • Provide clerical support, including data entry and management of imaging records.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
  • Collaborate with the imaging services team to ensure quality care and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, medical imaging).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an imaging department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
