Position Overview:

The Imaging Informatics Team Lead will oversee the setup, configuration, maintenance, and support of ACR's imaging systems, which include a Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), viewers, and their associated databases. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers within the imaging team, acting as a resource and escalation point for complex issues. A comprehensive understanding of the DICOM standard, including file formats, interfaces, and workflows, is essential. Success in this role hinges on effective root cause analysis, thorough documentation, and the ability to train engineers, staff, and users. Coordination with ACR's vendors regarding requirements and product feature testing is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in DICOM, assisting users with data integrity and operational workflows.
  • Design and define the installation and configuration of medical imaging software according to project specifications.
  • Ensure that Good Clinical Practice (GCP) documentation is current and that validation activities align with imaging workflows and project scopes.
  • Maintain optimal system uptime and efficiency, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop training initiatives as well as the need for new tools.
  • Assist management with budget requests and project scope planning.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of 2-3 informatics professionals.
  • Collaborate with vendors to manage licensing and contractual obligations.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, or a related field is required.
    • A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Medical/IT/Informatics.
  • Proficiency in Cloud Solutions, SQL, AI/ML, and Data Science concepts is required.
  • Experience with networking and database management is essential.
  • Strong understanding of VNA, DICOM, IHE, radiology workflows, informatics, and standards-based data flow in radiology and hospital information systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, DICOM Web, AWS, and JIRA is advantageous.
  • CIIP certification is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and a collaborative spirit are essential.
This position offers a remote work schedule. Candidates must be self-motivated, possess strong time management skills, and be highly organized. A reliable internet connection is required.

The ACR is dedicated to a comprehensive compensation philosophy that includes a competitive base salary along with a full suite of benefits. Our goal is to ensure equitable and competitive pay. The estimated annual compensation range for this position is $106,400 - $149,000.
