Work Schedule
As a new team member, you will be required to be present on-site full-time, five days a week. Training will last approximately eight weeks.

Post-training, there is a possibility of receiving three or more shifts weekly as a hybrid employee, contingent on staffing requirements (note that shifts are not guaranteed due to the per diem nature of the role).

This position operates during the day shift, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities
As a per diem hybrid Medication Management Technician within the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting the Refill Center, pharmacists, and physicians by processing prescription refill requests (both protocol and non-protocol) in CS-Link for review and approval/denial by the pharmacists acting under protocol on behalf of the Refill Center physicians.
  • Receiving refill requests and entering them into CS-Link (Epic) for authorization review.
  • Documenting each refill request in the patient's medical record.
  • Following up on outstanding refill requests in CS-Link to ensure timely resolution and completion.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Licensure: Pharmacy Technician License from the California Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year as a pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy, refill pharmacy, or outpatient pharmacy department is preferred.

Working Conditions
  • Regularly required to sit, speak, listen, use hands repetitively, and reach with arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Moderate noise typical of a business office environment (e.g., printers and phones).
