The Quality Manager will oversee the quality program at a fast-growing aerospace and defense manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards while driving process improvements.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to advocate for customers and enhance product quality in aerospace and medical applications.

The client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding aerospace and defense manufacturer, recognized for delivering advanced engineered solutions and critical components to both commercial and military markets.

With a focus on innovation and quality, they operate multiple facilities worldwide, specializing in fluid control systems, landing gear, and electro-mechanical controls.

Their commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement positions them as a key player in the aerospace and medical equipment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quality assurance program, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Manage Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Shop Incident Reports (SIR) systems.
  • Support on-time delivery through timely completion of quality assurance documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and operations to document and implement quality plans.
  • Facilitate training and certification for Nondestructive Testing (NDT) inspections and personnel.
  • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years in quality management within aerospace or defense manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of defense contracts, FAR clauses, and military inspections.
  • Proactive approach with Six Sigma and root cause corrective action training.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and driving quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
