Quality Manager Job Description
Michael Page is seeking a Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and quality control processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing quality management systems, ensuring adherence to ISO standards, and collaborating with engineering, production, and customer service teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage quality management systems that meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of quality engineers and inspectors.
- Identify areas for improvement across production processes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with customers to understand quality requirements and manage quality-related inquiries and issues.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers and contractors, maintain quality agreements, and ensure supplier performance meets quality standards.
- Lead internal quality audits and support external audits as necessary.
- Oversee documentation related to quality processes, including inspection results, defect rates, and corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a quality role, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent quality management standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to quality management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, customers, and suppliers.
