About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Professional to join our team at EPL America, LLC. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global leader in tube-packaging and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a 2-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program in a technical field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, including writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment according to company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown, as well as OSHA requirements.
  • Advise operators and line mechanics on operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
  • Inform management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
  • Assist and train other maintenance and/or technical level employees.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program in a technical field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel, both individually and in teams.
  • Willingness to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Computer experience/operation and familiarity with PLC programming.
  • High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.
  • Ability to climb overhead structures, work beneath machines, and perform analysis and repair work in close quarters.
What We Offer

EPL America, LLC offers a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

We operate two shifts, 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am, and offer a schedule of 2-2-3 (two days off, two days worked, three days off). Our Danville, VA location specializes in Oral Care and Beauty & Cosmetics tube-packaging.
