Job Title: Business Relationship Management Analyst

Join the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a Business Relationship Management Analyst and play a vital role in ensuring the success of our IT projects. As a key member of our Business Relationship Management team, you will serve as an advocate for our business stakeholders, providing expert analysis and guidance to support the development of effective IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and evaluate incoming IT service requests to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track and prioritize IT requests, ensuring alignment with agency goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to assess the impact of legislative initiatives on IT systems and processes.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of agency strategy, funding, goals, and IT platforms to ensure IT requests reflect business priorities.
  • Review and comment on complex project deliverables, including project charters, quality management plans, and business rules.
  • Communicate key decisions and planning information to stakeholders, including senior and executive management.
  • Coordinate change management activities, including communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate agreements and commitments between business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Develop presentations for senior and executive management, including recommendations, options, risks, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Ensure IT solutions align with business goals and strategy, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements:
  • At least three years of experience in business systems analysis, with a strong understanding of IT project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycles, project management life cycles, and high-level system design methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze legislation and assess the impact on IT systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate key issues affecting IT projects.
  • Working knowledge of office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
