Position Overview:

The Financial Accountant II plays a crucial role in executing professional accounting responsibilities to support various financial functions. This position involves assisting with the month-end closing process and ensuring compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute month-end closing tasks for multiple operational facilities to guarantee accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis and address outstanding items.
  • Consolidate month-end reporting (Vector).
  • Support audit processes and respond to ad-hoc requests.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role, combining office work with limited travel requirements.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience.


Skills and Abilities:
Attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, effective oral and written communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team, possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite, and handle confidential information with discretion.


Certifications:
CPA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.


Physical Requirements:

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting while utilizing a computer. Regular use of hands for typing and operating office equipment is necessary.
