Job Summary
The Accountant II is a key member of our financial operations team. This role is responsible for performing professional accounting duties in support of various accounting functions. The successful candidate will assist with the completion of the month-end close, ensure accuracy in accordance with IFRS and GAAP standards, and perform other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Complete month-end close tasks for multiple operating facilities to ensure accuracy.
- Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries and maintain proper supporting documentation.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly, and follow up on open items.
- Consolidated Reporting: Assist with month-end consolidated reporting.
- Audit Support: Assist with audit and ad-hoc requests.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position, with a mix of office and remote work. The successful candidate will be required to work in an office environment and may be required to travel occasionally.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 2-5 years of related work experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with interruptions and work autonomously.
- Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training
- CPA: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is helpful but not required.
