Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a Psychiatric Level II role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in need of psychiatric services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and conducting routine diagnostic tests.
  • Assist physicians with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams.
  • Monitor patient condition and notify physicians for disposition.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician orders.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an acute or outpatient setting.
  • Vocational Nurse License (California) in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
