Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project scopes to determine accurate material, labor, and equipment costs for each project phase.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive bids that align with project requirements and client expectations, ensuring bids are submitted within established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to solicit quotes, negotiate prices, and build strong working relationships to secure the best possible rates and terms.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying potential cost-saving measures to maintain project profitability.
  • Conduct precise quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and other resources required for project execution.
  • Propose value engineering alternatives to enhance project cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  • Identify potential project risks and uncertainties, considering factors that may impact costs and timelines, and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all estimation-related documents, including drawings, specifications, quotes, and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with project teams, architects, and clients to explain and present cost estimates, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, with a solid understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry practices.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to interact effectively with stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and cost accounting principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

  • A competitive salary range of $110,000-140,000.
