We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Support Specialist to join our team at Friends of Switchpoint Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough intake assessments for clients seeking services, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to policy.
- Supervise daily chore schedules and room checks, maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Oversee the distribution of personal care items to clients, adhering to established protocols.
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and rescue information to clients and callers, maintaining professional boundaries at all times.
- Reinforce community living guidelines with residents, promoting a positive and respectful living environment.
- Perform program exit procedures with clients, ensuring a smooth transition to independent living.
- Ensure the safety and security of the program and residents, conducting regular perimeter checks and logging any concerns.
- Document all telephone calls and activities, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Review the communication log book and calls at the beginning of each shift, reporting any suspected neglect or abuse to the Executive Director.
Requirements:
- Understand and implement Switchpoint's mission and values, adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests of the facility, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
- Keep a daily log of all occurrences within the facility for each shift, noting any special requirements or needs of residents.
- Update the maintenance log with maintenance requests, ensuring prompt attention to facility needs.
- Arrange transportation for residents in shuttle vans, promoting independence and mobility.
- Actively listen to the needs of residents, responding appropriately and reporting concerns to case management and management.
- Perform simple cleaning tasks, including public bathrooms, sweeping, and mopping, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with convenience store transactions, providing excellent customer service.
- Monitor cameras and log activity, ensuring the safety and security of residents.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive wage range of $16 - $18/hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, PTO, and 401k.
