Job Title: Senior Project Manager or Project Manager, Outreach

Fusco Personnel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager or Project Manager, Outreach to join our client in leading the nation in the fight against global climate change and the transition to a clean-energy powered economy.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned project manager to lead a broad range of projects focused on statewide and local stakeholder outreach around Electric School Buses (ESBs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, experience working with outside contractors, and a passion for clean transportation and equity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively manage projects led by outside contractors, with a focus on statewide and local stakeholder outreach around ESBs.
  • Participate in stakeholder discussions and speak at conferences with school districts, school bus fleets, the school bus industry, and other stakeholders regarding NYSERDA's ESB efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with ESB market stakeholders, including industry participants, local community-based groups, and school districts.
  • Actively manage projects with engineering firms developing individualized fleet electrification plans for school bus fleets, as needed.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for program improvement, including ways NYSERDA can better address equity in transportation.
Requirements:
  • Senior Project Manager: Minimum experience of Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Project Manager: Minimum experience of Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated record of success managing projects, preferably in the clean transportation or clean energy space.
  • Familiarity with transportation electrification subject matter, with a preference for a moderate technical understanding of EVs and/or electric utility operations and a passion for issues related to clean transportation and equity.
  • Demonstrates experience supervising contractors and interacting with senior leadership in one's own organization and in other organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently and simultaneously manage a broad portfolio of projects, including setting workplans, managing budgets, and overseeing internal and consultant work products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with a broad spectrum of both public and private sector stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite required; familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
Salary:

$76- $141k
