Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials for Mechatronics Technology courses.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to ensure students meet their academic goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve educational objectives and improve student outcomes.
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in Mechatronics Technology to ensure curriculum remains relevant and effective.
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program assessments and evaluations to measure student learning outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education.
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, with 3 to 5 years of teaching experience or 1 to 3 years of teaching in Mechatronics Technology-related courses in a technical college environment.
- Teaching experience must include Industrial Mechanics, Fluid Power Systems, and other Mechatronics-based curriculum.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude.
- Accredited Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, with postsecondary teaching experience.
- Industry or teaching experience in Introduction to Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Fluid Power Systems, Industrial Motor Controls, Basic Industrial PLC's, Industrial Instrumentation, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, and other Mechatronics Technology-based courses.
- Familiarity with training systems such as Festo and Amatrol Virtual Training Software.
