Job Title: Regional Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

Heartland, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and customer-driven professional to lead the Southwest Region's accounting team as a Regional Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting responsibilities, including control compliance, financial reporting, cash management oversight, tax compliance, audit support, and business reporting.
  • Take responsibility for all finance issues in the group on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure regional financial statements are accurate, complete, and in accordance with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Review financial results and discuss changes to address needs and trends.
  • Assist in the development of monitoring of policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow and reduced operating costs.
  • Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained for the protection of the organization's financial assets against loss or misappropriation.
  • Establish and reinforce a system of effective accounting and operational controls.
  • Take a senior role with regards to collaboration between Finance and Operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of accounting experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Success in achieving sound financial performance of organizations of comparable size to the Region.
  • Preferably have experience with Aspire and Acumatica or similar industry software.
  • Be versatile and adaptable to a constantly changing and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team, with attention to mentorship and professional development of staff.
  • Have an attitude of always looking to improve upon what we are doing and how; and along the way, celebrating and recognizing the improvements.
  • Strict attention to detail, with exceptional time management, organizational, and follow-up skills, to assure all responsibilities are quickly and efficiently met in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and customer service skills with the ability to make critical judgments and maintain a calm demeanor even when confronted with difficult situations.
  • Results-oriented with proven ability to follow through while handling multiple and competing priorities.
  • Be fanatical about details and accuracy and keep excellent records.
  • Approach the role with a spirit of finding a workable solution to opportunities and challenges.
