Job Summary

YWCA Cass Clay is seeking a skilled Facilities Director to oversee the maintenance, upkeep, and safety of all facilities and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and facilities management, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure facilities operate safely and effectively.
  • Oversee all vendors and contractors related to maintenance, facilities, and grounds, including managing contracts and bids.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director to prepare budgets for maintenance and facilities-related expenses.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential safety hazards and take necessary steps to reduce risk.
  • Provide routine system checks and maintenance, and repair as needed, at YWCA locations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, warranties, and other relevant information.
  • Survey all property for cleaning and maintenance standards on a regular basis.
  • Effectively plan and coordinate the purchase of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Participate in YWCA's Safety Committee and contribute to the development of safety protocols.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of applicable maintenance experience, with a Technical Associate degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with an insurable driving record.
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and blueprints.
  • Physical demands include sitting, standing, climbing stairs, twisting at the waist, bending, pushing, and carrying occasionally, as well as lifting up to 40 lbs.
Working Conditions

The Facilities Director will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with staff, vendors, and contractors. The position requires flexibility and adaptability, as well as the ability to work in all weather conditions.
