Job Title: Sports Center Facility Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Fargo Park District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Center Facility Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all building functions relating to the Fargo Parks Sports Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily building walk-through inspections to determine proper function of all mechanical building systems, detect malfunctions, document, and schedule repairs.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance procedures on appropriate equipment on a scheduled basis.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot security, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems within the Sports Center.
  • Assist facility manager in hiring, training, supervising and evaluation of seasonal/part time facilities staff.
  • Collaborate with facility manager and other supervisors to create the schedule for operations employees to ensure coverage for all areas of the building being used during open hours and after-hours rentals.
  • Perform general facility upkeep and cleaning daily to provide a safe and clean environment.
  • Monitor and manage the Building Automated Control System to ensure the facility's mechanical, electrical, water and sewer systems are functioning at optimal performance level.
  • Collaborate with Park District's parks department to maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of exterior grounds, walkways, and parking lots to keep clear of weeds, grass, trash, water, ice, snow etc.
  • Operate machinery to include but not limited to turf grooming equipment, lawn care equipment, snowplows, maintenance utility vehicles and cleaning equipment.
  • Review event notes, and take a leadership role in the setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, bleachers, game goals, tensa barrier etc. Additionally working with the events department in setting up and converting team rooms, conference rooms and party rooms as necessary from event to event.
  • Assist the Facility Manager in meeting or exceeding building Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Collaborate with Facility Manager to develop and enforce The Sports Center's SOP's

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or certificate from an accredited institution in Facilities operations, Facilities maintenance, Facilities management, Business, Management, Operations or related field and 1+ years of related work experience
  • Or 3+ years of related work experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Mechanical and maintenance background desired
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the public and contractors
  • Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization while displaying good time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, problem solve, manage multiple events, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate small and large equipment as related to facility maintenance
  • Ability to safely operate a wide variety of power and non-power tools
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and customer service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Relationship cultivation and customer service attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Considerable ability to work effectively under pressure and to competently handle several different tasks concurrently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
