Role Summary:

The Dallas Country Club is in search of a motivated and experienced Recovery Performance Specialist to enhance our services on a part-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing and treating sports-related or overuse injuries experienced by our Members. You will support Members through tailored rehabilitation programs, facilitate their return to peak performance following physical therapy, and guide them into self-directed or trainer-led fitness regimens. Collaboration with our multidisciplinary team is vital to delivering personalized care that meets the unique needs of each individual.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations to identify musculoskeletal injuries and dysfunctions in Members.
  • Create individualized treatment strategies emphasizing both passive and dynamic stability/mobility.
  • Utilize manual therapy techniques alongside other modalities such as ultrasound, dry needling, and cupping as part of treatment.
  • Instruct Members on correct body mechanics, strategies for injury prevention, and home exercise routines.
  • Track and assess Member progress throughout rehabilitation and strength training, modifying treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, wellness staff, personal trainers, and massage therapists to ensure cohesive care.
  • Stay updated with advancements in sports medicine research and engage in ongoing education to enhance clinical expertise.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
  • Master's degree in an exercise-related field.
  • Active physical therapist license in Texas.
  • Current certification in strength and conditioning or personal training.
  • Valid CPR certification.

Desired Competencies and Attributes:

  • Strong clinical proficiency in orthopedic assessment, manual therapy, and exercise prescription.
  • Certification in personal training from a recognized institution, preferably NSCA or NASM.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with Members and effective teamwork with colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, lifting up to 45 pounds, and standing for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated capacity for repetitive physical motions.
  • Physical exertion over prolonged periods may be necessary.
