Position Title:

Client Support Associate (CSA)

Program Overview:

The Grove is a designated space for transitional-aged youth (TAY) experiencing homelessness in the Sacramento area. As part of a dedicated team, CSAs will oversee and guide clients throughout the facility. Responsibilities include maintaining safety protocols around the clock and resolving conflicts as they arise. CSAs aim to establish trust and rapport with clients to assist them in accessing necessary resources and services to break the cycle of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific duties may vary depending on location and shift. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Supervise and assist all clients entering and exiting the facility, ensuring security checks to prevent the presence of weapons and illegal substances.
  • Guide new clients in understanding program rules and regulations.
  • Facilitate client activities while on campus.
  • Maintain safety oversight day and night, leading conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Provide assistance to guests as required.
  • Report any observed or suspected abuse or neglect of vulnerable individuals to management.
  • Support clients in retrieving stored belongings and managing their exit from the facility as needed.
  • Distribute meals to clients on-site.
  • Handle donations received from the public, including processing and storage.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sanitizing common areas, showers, and living spaces.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
  • Document daily activities and incidents clearly and legibly.
  • Conduct campus and client activity monitoring as assigned.
  • Foster effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Adapt to outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Navigate uneven terrain as necessary.
