The Opportunity

As a Financial Services Auditor, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in operational risk and control to provide guidance to audit associates and business area management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

The Team

The MassMutual Corporate Audit Team is a dynamic and collaborative group located in Boston and Springfield. You will work closely with peers and clients to support an operationally focused audit plan, driving positive change across the organization through value-added recommendations.

The Impact:

  • Conducts audits and advisory services in accordance with professional standards and department policies and procedures, demonstrating a deep understanding of risk concepts and internal controls.
  • Delivers risk-based audits, collaborating with business management and other risk/control functions to ensure effective controls and risk management.
  • Develops and nurtures relationships with business management and other stakeholders, focusing on customer needs and business value add.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and delivers results on cross-team efforts, increasing Corporate Audit's value and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates accountability, agility, and a commitment to inclusivity, with a strong business acumen and courage in challenging situations.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years' work experience in financial services, preferably with a focus on risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

The Ideal Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, CIA, CFA, or other professional designation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management across the enterprise.
  • Knowledge of risk concepts, including inherent and residual risks, and the ability to assess internal control design and effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify solutions that effectively address business and control needs.
  • High integrity, professional skepticism, and strong business sense.
  • Responsiveness and flexibility to changing business priorities and tight deadlines.
