Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our team at the County Of Berks. As a key member of our Youth Shelter Program, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the program, ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents, and providing guidance and support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of our staff and residents, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to staff members.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to residents and staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and resident progress notes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or education.
  • At least two years of experience working in a residential or correctional setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
