Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, checking them in and verifying their information.
  • Accurately enter and update patient insurance information and demographics, working with multiple medical computer programs.
  • Complete the patient registration process, reviewing accounts and compliance-related documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare paperwork for patient visits, verifying benefits and eligibility as needed.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance, responding to questions regarding account status and payment arrangements.
  • Monitor patient flow, adjusting workflows and notifying clinical staff of pertinent information and changes.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, guests, back office staff, and providers.
  • Reconcile cash against daily charge and cash reports, scheduling and confirming patient appointments as needed.
  • Create, distribute, and file new patient charts/medical records, performing clerical tasks such as copying, sorting, scanning, and faxing.
  • Properly check out patients, collecting co-pays and past due balances, and ensuring proper completion of all forms.
  • Keep the front desk area and waiting room clean and tidy, restocking supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
