About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team at the ASPCA. As a Veterinarian, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to animals in need, while also supporting the welfare of their human caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert veterinary care to animals in our community clinics, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment recommendations, and discharge instructions.
  • Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgical procedures, as well as minor outpatient surgical procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and compassionate information about their pets' care and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with our Community Engagement team to provide medical care for pets in underserved communities.
  • Participate in veterinary/medical training of CM staff, ASPCA staff, and veterinary and technical students.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent)
  • Current New York State veterinary license
  • Fear Free Veterinary certification
