Responsibilities
  • Accurately document patient information, including status, care rendered, and provider orders.
  • Refill medications according to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for provider exams, including taking and documenting vital signs.
  • Follow clinic protocols and directions from nursing team leaders or supervisors.
  • Perform diagnostic testing, including EKGs, audiograms, and visual screenings.
  • Monitor inventory of medical and office supplies, ensuring proper stocking and expiration dates.
  • Responsible for reviewing provider refill requests and assisting with daily medication refills.
  • Review EPIC triage call-in baskets for callbacks.
  • Clean patient rooms, including handling dirty laundry.
  • Ensure laundry carts are stocked with fresh linens daily.
  • Assist providers with sigmoidoscopy exams and cardiac stress testing.
  • Maintain equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
  • Adhere to company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, and Code of Conduct.
  • Regular and dependable attendance.
  • Follow core competencies set forth by the Company.
  • Work holiday shifts as required by Company policy.
QualificationsLVN
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of Texas.
  • Current AHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card.
Staff Medical Assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Required to meet one of the following:
    • Medical Assistant experience.
    • CNA/EMT/PCT experience providing direct patient care.
    • Graduate of a medical assistant program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) months or more experience as a Medical Assistant.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to administer medications and injections within scope of position.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent phone listening skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Certificate/License
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Current AHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required.
