Position Summary

The Andersons, Inc. has evolved significantly over the past 75 years, expanding from a single grain elevator into a vital agribusiness with a wide range of interests in commodity merchandising, renewable energy, and plant nutrition sectors. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Engineer to become a part of our Trade & Renewables Engineering team.

This role can be based in our offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and economical project and electrical estimates.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant codes and regulations.
  • Assess and identify all necessary equipment, materials, and resources for the successful completion of projects.
  • Supervise the creation of layout and detailed drawings essential for project management.
  • Manage projects to meet expected costs, timelines, and functional outcomes.
  • Serve as a technical resource for evaluating existing assets and proposed projects, offering guidance on associated risks and benefits.

  • Addresses complex challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Operates independently with minimal supervision.
  • Acts as a mentor for less experienced colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel to various facilities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, Master's Degree is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in lieu of educational qualifications.
