Position Overview:

The Lead Structural Engineer plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the Piping, Mechanical, and Electrical teams. This position involves the design of foundational systems and steel frameworks to support various equipment and utilities. Responsibilities also encompass the design of foundations and superstructures for platforms, walkways, and other elevated structures.

The Lead Structural Engineer reports directly to the Structural Discipline Manager. All completed technical work undergoes a thorough review by senior management prior to client presentation.

Key Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an engineering capacity.
  • Proficient understanding of AISC, ACI, and ASCE7 design standards.
  • A strong interest and aptitude for designing steel and concrete structures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in structural analysis modeling software.
  • Knowledge of Advance Steel and Revit software is advantageous.
  • Ability to plan and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of self-reviewing work.
Educational and Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in concrete, steel, and foundation design coursework; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently needs to stand, walk, and utilize hands for various tasks.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role, with workdays scheduled from Monday to Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary based on job requirements.
