About the Role

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is seeking a highly skilled Air Quality Program Manager to join our team. This role will lead the development and implementation of air quality programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing pollution in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are a regional government agency committed to protecting public health and the environment through clean air initiatives. Our jurisdiction encompasses seven counties and portions of two others, making us a critical player in maintaining air quality standards.

About the Position

This is a full-time, three-year limited term position that offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to make a meaningful impact on air quality management. As an Air Quality Program Manager, you will provide technical leadership, oversee program development, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve our mission.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of air quality programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including industry representatives, community groups, and other agencies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff, ensuring effective program execution.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases to track program progress and outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as an Air Quality Program Manager, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, chemistry, or engineering.
  • Four years of experience in air quality management, inspection, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings, and paid time off.
