Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Conduct air quality and emissions monitoring and analysis
  • Enforce state, federal, and local regulations
  • Complete assignments from the Air Pollution Control Officer
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid NESHAPS Inspector Training Certificate within twelve (12) months from date of appointment
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Visible Emission Evaluator Certification as issued by the California Air Resources Board and Federal EPA within twelve (12) months from date of appointment
  • Completion of Enforcement Training through the California Air Resources Board and Federal EPA within twenty-four (24) months from date of appointment
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in physics, chemistry, engineering, environmental air quality engineering, physical science
  • Previous technical work experience in performing air pollution and emission control monitoring, analysis, and enforcement work

The estimated salary range for this position is $67,412.80 - $88,254.40 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.
