Yorke Engineering, LLC is a leading Environmental Consulting firm in California that provides innovative Environmental Engineering and Compliance solutions to its clients across the state.

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to join our team in Northern CA. This full-time position comes with a competitive salary of $125,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) program with a generous company match.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead and execute compliance and permitting functions related to Air Quality Regulations. They will review processes and equipment, analyze permit-related technical and regulatory issues, and communicate their findings within Yorke, clients, government agencies, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and develop business proposals to secure new projects
  • Analyze and interpret complex environmental regulations and data
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with air quality regulations
  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality results within scope, budget, and schedule
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, staff, and regulators through excellent communication and collaboration skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 15-25+ years of experience in Air Quality and/or Environmental industry, preferably in consulting environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and teams, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • P.E. Certification a plus
