Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position reflects a nationwide market range and encompasses a variety of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary will be influenced by several factors, including the complexity and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience. Additionally, employees may qualify for performance-based cash incentive awards as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

Salary Range
$63,000 - $105,100.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Eligible for a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

This role involves servicing insured clients and agents in designated territories. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate at their own expense if necessary.

Under moderate supervision, this position is accountable for managing first-party property claims, which includes investigating, assessing, estimating, and negotiating to achieve optimal resolutions for personal or business claims of moderate complexity. The role may also involve handling claims across various lines of business, ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards and state regulations throughout the claim lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage first-party property claims of moderate complexity.
  • Conduct field inspections, documenting damages with photographs and estimates.
  • Utilize innovative technologies extensively.
  • Investigate and evaluate all pertinent facts to ascertain coverage, damages, and liability.
  • Establish timely and accurate claim reserves.
  • Determine appropriate settlement amounts based on independent assessments and validations.
  • Negotiate settlements with various stakeholders within authority limits.
  • Draft denial letters and complex correspondence as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and state regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to meet the needs of insured clients and partners.
  • Identify claims that require referral to specialized units.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required.
  • May mentor and coach less experienced claims professionals.
  • Participate in catastrophe response programs as necessary.
  • Maintain necessary insurance licenses and continuing education requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • General knowledge of estimating systems, such as Xactimate, preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in outside property claims handling preferred.
  • Advanced interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Intermediate judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Negotiation skills at an intermediate level.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate investigative skills.
  • Ability to analyze coverage and evaluate damages.
  • Resolve claims within settlement authority.
  • Valid driver's license required.
