Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in generating and analyzing financial reports, models, and insights for the organization and its subsidiaries. This position collaborates closely with management to identify trends and key drivers, effectively communicating recommendations to enhance decision-making. The analyst will engage in various financial processes and initiatives, including profit and loss analysis, cash flow management, and balance sheet evaluations as part of long-range planning (LRP), annual planning (AOP), forecasting, scenario analysis, monthly performance reviews, and external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reporting and analysis for designated business areas to uncover issues, trends, and opportunities.
  • Assist in the month-end closing and forecasting processes, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support long-range and annual planning, as well as monthly forecasting, by creating reports and models tailored to business requirements.
  • Collaborate across the finance team to provide analytical support for multi-entity, category, and customer structures.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and additional departmental support as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the company’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system.
  • Document departmental policies and procedures as needed.
  • Adhere to the company’s Food Safety and Quality Policy, participating in all required training and programs.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution; an MBA is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance, ideally within the consumer-packaged goods or retail sectors.

Skills:

  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Strong understanding of profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheet management; treasury knowledge is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing financials, including sales, trade, cost of goods sold, and SG&A.
  • Experience in cost and general accounting is a plus.
  • Highly skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and modeling techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Office Tools, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP, EPM, and/or manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to work independently on diverse projects.
  • Understanding of supply chain management and production fundamentals.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Capable of translating sales and operational activities into financial data and reports.
  • Effective presentation skills to communicate information and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and comprehend financial reporting and data.
  • Ability to apply financial principles in a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world situations.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and navigate a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPA certification is a plus.

Compensation Range: $75,200 - $112,800
