Job Overview

Electrical Consultants, Inc. We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Project Manager to join our team in Maitland, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transmission engineering, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines in the completion of transmission line projects. The successful applicant must have an advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principles, be expert regarding applicable codes, standards, and design tools, and have the ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting of transmission line projects and proposals
  • Overseeing project teams of engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff
  • Ensuring best-in-class project execution and delivery through diligent execution of ECI's quality control procedure
  • Interacting with and coordinating ECI's subject matter expert discipline groups to ensure successful execution of assigned projects
  • Providing technical mentorship and training of project team design staff

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years' project engineering experience
  • 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Ability to meet fast-paced project schedules
