Role Summary

  • Be capable of performing physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying children weighing up to 50 lbs.

Hiring Conditions

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Educational Support Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • All duties must align with the Catholic mission of the institution and comply with state regulations.


  • Provide one-on-one support to students, addressing both academic and personal needs.
  • Assist students in transitioning between different areas of the school throughout the day.


  • Support students during meal times by assisting with unpacking and consuming their meals.


  • Collaborate with the learning support team to help students achieve individualized learning objectives through engaging lessons and activities.


  • Respond to students' needs for breaks or transitions from the general education classroom.
  • Assist with personal care needs as required.
  • Communicate effectively with students' families during arrival and dismissal.
  • Work alongside classroom teachers to adapt lessons for individual student needs.
  • Show a willingness to learn new technologies that enhance student learning and communication among staff and families.


  • Engage in professional development opportunities that support both personal and institutional goals.
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Participate in liturgical celebrations during the school day.
  • Serve as a role model of Catholic values for students and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church.


  • Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the relevant handbooks.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities assigned by the Principal in accordance with established policies and regulations.
