Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient histories and vital sign assessments, accurately documenting findings in patient records.
  • Prepare and maintain medical supplies and equipment for various treatments, ensuring all items are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Assist healthcare providers in preparing for minor surgical procedures and physical examinations.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments.
  • Perform essential nursing and administrative tasks as required.
  • Execute laboratory procedures such as venipunctures, fingerstick phlebotomy, throat cultures, urinalysis, and EKGs under supervision.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred, or
  • A valid Colorado LPN license in good standing is preferred, or
  • Successful completion of a national Medical Assistant Certification exam is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required by the end of the conditional period.
