ROOM ATTENDANT | PALIHOUSE WEST HOLLYWOOD

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Room Attendant responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of guest accommodations to provide exceptional experiences for our visitors.

Located on the iconic W 3rd St., Palihouse West Hollywood boasts 95 guest rooms, an indoor/outdoor pool lounge, and a Lobby Lounge, Café, and Bar that welcomes both locals and travelers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure immaculate, sanitary, and orderly hotel environments, including guest rooms, common areas, and staff offices.
  • Update and manage the display of menus, postcards, and other materials in guest rooms.
  • Handle furniture, fixtures, and flooring with care by adhering to cleaning protocols and utilizing appropriate products.
  • Execute cleaning tasks for guest rooms as directed by supervisors, prioritizing based on guest check-ins.
  • Dispose of waste materials from trash containers.
  • Perform all necessary duties to maintain tidy guest rooms, including replacing used towels and removing soap, dirt, dust, and hair from various surfaces.
  • Restock facial tissues, toilet paper, and bathroom amenities in the correct quantities and locations.
  • Inspect bathrobes for cleanliness and replace if soiled or damaged.
  • Change out dirty bed linens and prepare beds with fresh linens.
  • Replace laundry bags and slips as needed.
  • Clean closets and door tracks in check-out rooms, ensuring removal of dust and debris.
  • Verify the correct number and arrangement of hangers and extra blankets/pillows.
  • Dust and polish all furniture items.
  • Adjust furniture as necessary to align with the designated floor plan.
  • Open drawers and doors in check-out rooms for thorough dusting and to retrieve any items left by guests.
  • Check under beds, chairs, and sofas for debris and remove as needed.
  • Assess the condition of all furniture for any damage and report findings to the supervisor promptly.
  • Remove dust and debris from upholstered furniture, including crevices and under cushions.
  • Dust frames, mirrors, and pictures.
  • Clean televisions, clock radios, remote controls, and cable boxes of dust and smudges.
  • Set the correct time on clocks and adjust TV channels as necessary.
  • Clean lamps and light switches, ensuring they are in proper working order.
  • Wipe down windows, ledges, and frames to remove dust and smudges.
  • Empty and clean ice buckets, ensuring all surfaces are dry.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the mini bar, ensuring it is plugged in and securely locked.
  • Work flexible hours based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
  • Adhere to uniform guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Guest service-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products and techniques.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with physical mobility to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts.
